Training for freelancers opens at Natore

The government-launched Learning and Earning Project being inaugurated at Natore recently. The aim of the project is to educate 100 youths to be prepared through training to work as freelancers in the international freelancing platform.

NATORE, Sept 18 (BSS): A training programme to develop educated youths of the district as freelancers has been launched under the Learning and Earning programme of the government.

District Council Administrator Advocate Shajedur Rahman inaugurated the three-day training programme at the conference room of the deputy commissioner.

As many as 50 youths are taking part in the programme conducted by Creative IT Limited.

At the inaugural function Additional Secretary and Programme Director Kamal Uddin Ahmed said the youth could play a vital role in implementing Digital Bangladesh programme as charted out in the Vision 2021.

Urging the youth to develop themselves freelancers he said the government will create 55,000 freelancers in the second phase under the Learning and Earning Programme.

"Youths who would develop themselves as freelancers should not go to Dhaka, they can earn staying with their families," Kamal Uddin said.

Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Md Shamsur Rahman the function was also addressed, among others, by Natore Sadar Upazila Chairman Shariful Islam and Managing Director of Creative IT Md Monir Hosen.
