Two parliamentary sub-committees have been formed to investigate anomalies of three agencies under the Industries Ministry, reports UNB.
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industries Ministry formed the sub-committees at its 6th meeting in Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday asking them to place the investigation reports within the next three months before the main committee.
The three agencies are the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), the Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) and the Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC).
A three-member sub-committee, headed by Shamim Osman, will investigate all anomalies of the BSCIC and the BSEC. Two other members of the sub-committee are MA Maleque and AKM Ahasanul Hoque Chowdhury.
Another three-member sub-committee, headed by AKM Ahasanul Hoque Chowdhury will investigate anomalies of the BSFIC. Two other members of the sub-committee are Shamim Osman and MA Maleque.
