US-Bangla Airlines expands int'l routes with new Airbus

US-Bangla Airlines, a leading Bangladeshi private airlines, added a brand-new Airbus A330-300 to its fleet on Friday, expanding its capacity on international routes.

The 436-seat aircraft touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 3:10 pm after a flight from Guangzhou, China.

US-Bangla Airlines CEO Captain Lutfor Rahman officially welcomed the new addition.

The Airbus A330-300 will initially serve existing routes to Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat, Doha and Kuala Lumpur. Future plans include expanding its reach to London, Rome, Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.

The latest addition makes it the 23rd aircraft in US-Bangla's fleet, joining two other Airbus A330-300s, nine Boeing 737-800s, ten ATR 72-600s and three Dash 8-Q400s.

The airline plans to acquire another Airbus A330-300 soon.

US-Bangla Airlines currently operates regular flights on all domestic routes, as well as international services to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Guangzhou.
