US Bangla resumes flights on Dhaka-Bangkok route Feb 5

US-Bangla Airlines will resume its operation on Dhaka-Bangkok route after four months gap from February 05 with special promotional offer targeting the tourists, an official said.

Anyone buying two return tickets on Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka route with Tk 20,500 (including tax and surcharge) from any US-Bangla sales centre or approved travel agent, will get free hotel accommodation for two nights. The offer is valid for at least two persons.

The flights will be operated with a 164-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday every week.

The departure from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will be at 10:20am and return from Bangkok's Subarnabhumi Airport at 2:20pm.

General Manager (Marketing Support and PR) Kamrul Islam told the FE that Thailand is a tourist hub. As many as five airliners operate on Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka route, he said.

"Despite huge competition, we are highly competitive as we are providing two nights free hotel stay at a price of only Tk 20,500," he said.

US-Bangla started its operation on Dhaka-Bangkok route in 2017 and continued till September 2018.

After an accident in September at Chittagong airport, the airlines suspended operation in October.

At present, US-Bangla operates on Kolkata, Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Guangzhou, Bangkok from Dhaka and Kolkata, Muscat, Doha routes from Chittagong.

US-Bangla has four Boeing 737-800 aircraft and three Dash-8 in its fleet.
