Uttara Motors unveils new Japan cars at motor show

Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader and FBCCI president Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed have unveiled the Suzuki Ciaz & Suzuki AltoK10 Auto Transmission car at Uttara Pavilion at Dhaka Motor Show that began Thursday.

Chairman and Managing Director Matiur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director Durand M. Rahman of the Group were present at the pavilion, the company said in a statement.

Uttara is the sole distributor in Bangladesh for AMW Limited, India, Bajaj Auto Limited, India, Force Motors Limited, India, Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan, Isuzu Motors, Thailand, SML Isuzu Limited, India, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India, Pak Suzuki Motor Corporation Limited, Pakistan, and Indomobil Suzuki Int'l, Indonesia.

Its product range includes motorcycles, auto rickshaws and commercial vehicles, which are assembled in the country by its sister companies.  

Passenger cars, SUVs, pickup trucks are imported in CBU condition from the respective manufacturers in Japan, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Thailand.

The company maintains its own branches and workshops in 15 cities throughout Bangladesh.  

Spare parts of all models are imported from the manufacturers and more than adequate inventory is maintained by Uttara.

The group was established in 1972 by its founding Chairman and Managing Director late Mukhlesur Rahman.  The motor division, which is the flag bearer of Uttara Group of Companies, is engaged in the sales and marketing of different brands of automobiles throughout the country via her nationwide sales, service and spare parts network.
