Vietnam\\\'s state budget revenue hits $9.24b

HANOI, Apr 03 (Xinhua): Vietnam's budget revenue reached 195.07 trillion Vietnamese dong (9.24 billion U.S.  dollars) in the first quarter of 2014, accounting for 24.9 percent of the year's estimate, up 15.9 percent year-on-year, the Ministry of Finance said yesterday.
The budget revenue in March alone stood at 57.95 trillion Vietnamese dong (2.74 billion U.S. dollars).
Of the total, domestic revenue hit 133.68 trillion Vietnamese dong (6.33 billion U.S. dollars), accounting for 24.8 percent of the national estimate, up 16.5 percent year-on- year.
Some 26.09 trillion Vietnamese dong (1.23 billion U.S.  dollars) came from the sale of crude oil in the three months, a year-on-year increase of 0.3 percent, when the average crude oil price staying at 112.8 U.S. dollars per barrel, 14.8 U.S. dollars higher than estimated.
The country's total output of crude oil in the first quarter hit 3.7 million tons, accounting for 25.8 percent of the year's estimates, said the ministry.
Import-export activities brought in 34.55 trillion Vietnamese dong (1.63 billion U.S. dollars), up 29 percent year- on-year, accounting for 22.4 percent of the year's estimates.
During the first quarter, Vietnam spent 232.16 trillion Vietnamese dong (11 billion U.S. dollars), accounting for 23.1 percent of the estimates and up 5.4 percent year-on-year.
The state expenses were used for development and investment, paying debts and assistance, developing socio-economic, national defense, security and administrative management tasks, among others, the ministry said.
