Guests and students formally unveil the eighth issue of the Voice of Business, a business magazine, at the conference hall of the Faculty of Business Studies at Dhaka University on Tuesday, marking the VoB Week 2017.
Voice of Business (VoB), a business club of the Faculty of Business Studies at the University of Dhaka, has been celebrating its 10 years of vibrant existence.
On the occasion, the business club has organised a two-day event titled 'VoB Week 2017', says a press statement.
The week was inaugurated through unveiling the eighth issue of the Voice of Business, a student-led business magazine, at the conference hall of the faculty on Tuesday.
The magazine was first published in 2017, providing a platform to the business students to run the club.
Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, dean of the business studies faculty and chief patron of VoB, formally inaugurated the two-day event while Dr Faisal Ahmed, chief economist of Bangladesh Bank, was present as the special guest.
Asjadul Kibria, planning editor of The Financial Express, distributed awards among the winners of the VoB writing contest at the ceremony.
After the inaugural session, a seminar on the cover stories of the magazine was held. A comprehensive session on the empowerment of women in the corporate field and branding will be held today.
Industry leaders and experts will share their experiences and insights in the seminars, providing a great opportunity for students to learn firsthand from the industry insiders.
