Women entrepreneurs urged to join country\\\'s dev works

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury has urged all concerned including the women entrepreneurs to come forward for the development of the country.
The Speaker made the appeal while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the 'Ananda Fair-2014' organised by Women Committee of the Dhaka Officer's Club at club auditorium in the city on Thursday, reports BSS.
"All the people including the women entrepreneurs should have to work together as the country is becoming a middle income country by 2021", said the Speaker in her address.
Dr Shirin Sharmin, however, emphasised incorporating women in all the development works which would help to create small and medium entrepreneurs.
Presided over by Food Secretary Musfiqa Ikfat, the programe was addressed, among others, by Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Dhaka Officer's Club General Secretary former secretary Abu Alam Mohammad Shahid Khan and Director General of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Department and Dhaka Officers Club Women Committee Secretary Prof Fahima Khatun.
Dr Shirin and Chairperson of the Executive Committee of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) told the function that we have to generate opportunities including bank credit facilities for the women so that they could be economically empowered and get scope to participate in all the income-oriented activities.
