Young scientists have been advised to use the full potential of their innovative faculty for the betterment of the country.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu gave the advice while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the three-day 'Science and Industrial Technology Fair-2015' at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the city on Thursday, reports UNB.
The minister said the government will extend its all-out support for the development and commercialisation of the innovations by young scientists.
The government will also prioritise protecting the patent rights of their innovations, he added.
Noting that scientific innovations have been the key to success for all the developed nations, the minister said the government is working on a plan to patronise the young generation of the country in scientific researches.
Chaired by Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) Chairman AKM Asaduzzaman, the inaugural function was also addressed by State Minister for Science and Technology Yafes Osman.
