We see thousands of billboards along the roadsides of Dhaka city. Various companies post their product information on these boards.
However, these billboards can be very useful in creating social awareness. The government can post various issues of public interest like not to park vehicles on roadsides, dangers of drug addiction, importance of using foot over-bridge etc., on these boards. People will be aware of those issues and act accordingly.
Even the companies, which post their billboards, can allocate a certain space for notes on these issues on each of the posters. This will further help the government to spread social awareness.
The government should consider this seriously, which will help promote social awareness effectively, and at minimum cost.
