Contaminated milk

September 24, 2008 00:00:00

Bangladesh is one of the countries which import powdered milk from China. In China, milk added with melamine, used in plastics, has been blamed for causing severe renal problems and kidney stones among children. It caused death to a number of children The authority need to find out whether or not the milk imported from China contain melamine. If so, such milk can be sent back to China, which is recalling such milk.
The government has banned three brands of powered milk from China. As a majority of the consumers in the country are not conscious about health hazards, imported contaminated milk power could spell disaster for our children. We would urge the government to take firm steps to remove all the imported contaminated milk from the market.
