DCC's garbage disposal
September 30, 2008 00:00:00
THE DCC is responsible for collecting rubbish, on a regular basis, from the storing bins to the dumping sites. For this purpose it maintains squads of cleaners and vehicles. But this work is not done properly. The reality is, the garbage carrying vehicles of the DCC do not come to many places everyday.
Coming at intervals of two or three days the vehicles do not carry all the refuse. Much of the refuse remains piled up on the road sides. The garbage carriers are seldom covered, as they should be, to spare citizens of the smell and foul sights.
The DCC occasionally carries out special cleanliness drives, which means nothing, unless it keeps the whole city always clean.
