A foolproof system is needed to prevent the recurrence of a political crisis in the future. It would require reconstitution of institutions. The condition for holding elections scrupulously would have to be created.
Common people can't have ideas about what should be done so that the nation can be reasonably at peace with itself on an enduring basis.
The crisis at the end of 2006 resulted from greed and the absence of values. Given a proper system, free from negative influences, the country would not have suffered as it did for years.
Building or restructuring of institutions is needed to ensure that whosoever comes to power remains honest. Ways have to be devised to make the functionaries accountable.
Tampering with the election process has to be prevented. Holding an election without ensuring all this will mean political instability to slow down the country's progress in economic and other spheres.
