Human rights

A recent survey done by an NGO indicates human rights situation in Bangladesh has worsened compared to that of last year. People feel insecure due to deterioration of law and order. A steady law and order is a must for ensuring human rights.
Despite assurances from the government, law and order deteriorated everywhere. Crimes have increased at an alarming rate. Murder, rape, hijacking, extra-judicial killing all of these back the fact presented.
Security of life and property, a basic right, is what the citizens demand from the government. Failure to ensure security affects the image of the ruling party. The opposition party can exploit the situation to its advantage.
Crimes must be curbed. Words are poor substitutes of action. Stable law and order and the rule of law alone can ensure peaceful life and human rights.
