Importing LNG

January 16, 2010 00:00:00

THE residents in the city areas are facing acute shortage in gas supply with the advent of winter. The industries are being shut down due to it.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), as the experts consider, can be very useful in minimising the gap between the demand and the supply of gas. The government can neither afford closing down of the industries as it hurts our economy.
The decision of the government to import LNG on an urgent basis, though belated, is appreciable. It will surely ease the present condition of gas supply.
Gas is one of the important ingredients that help flow the economy in the right direction. So, the authority concerned needs to work out whatever it needs to facilitate easy running of the industries and households.
