Inadequate facilities for higher education
July 31, 2009 00:00:00
The result of the H.S.C exam'09 was published on 25th of July. We would like to congratulate all the successful students. This year the success rate came down a bit. But as usual, some known colleges have topped the list among the best performing educational institutions. It is not a good sign that every year the competition remains confined to the same few institutions.
This indicates that we have failed to enhance the standard of education in other colleges which should learn from the top colleges. This can ensure better results.
A large number of meritorious students will, however, be deprived of better higher education again, due to accommodation problem in the universities. So, the government should, first of all, improve the standard of education in every institution and establish new public universities and encourage the establishment of new private universities so that more meritorious students can get higher education for development of the country.
