FOR a personal research purpose, I am collecting information on the first East Bengal film "The Last Kiss" (1931) and an earlier short film "Sukumari" (1928). Both were silent movies - filmed in Dhaka and acted mainly by some amateur youths of the second and third Dhaka Nawab families ( KM Nasarullah, KM Ajmal, KM Adel, Sahib-E-Alam, KM Akmal, SA Saleem, KM Zaheer, KM Azad, child actor KM Shahed Sahabuddin etc.). Tuntun, the three-to-four year old daughter of Rai Bahadur Satendra Nath Das (zamindar; lived somewhere near Wari and a well known figure in Dhaka of those days) was the child actress of "The Last Kiss".
I will greatly appreciate if a reader of this esteemed daily can provide me even with any tiny information (viewer of the film, memoir, picture, personal experiences with any of the actors-actresses-technicians or any words of mouth) on these films.
