Is the world acquiescing criminality in Gaza?

Over 1,000 New Yorkers took to the streets on July 24, 2014 in a protest meant to call attention to U.S. complicity in Israel\'s attack on Gaza.

Morality, justice and legality have been reinvented by Israel with the acquiescence of those who are powerful, supposedly advanced and claiming superior national identity. Border closing by both Israel and Egypt preventing the Gaza inhabitants from coming out may be for national security interest, but blockade on Gaza by any standard is an act of war. This act was perpetrated on the population of Gaza for such a long time that the strip of Gaza has been converted into an open prison. It was perhaps for this reason that a British Member of Parliament found the rational of firing rockets to Israel and aptly pronounced, "I would fire rockets at Israel if I had lived in Gaza".
Quintessential argument one will always make on national interest and security. But since the 2nd world war when about six million Jews were exterminated by Hitler and his allies, world leaders committed to find resolution of all conflicts under the agreed Charter of the United Nations so that such hideous crimes could never be committed on any person, group, and tribe or on any nation. Paradoxically, those survivors and descendants of victims of Hitler's Germany are now engaged in mass killings, destructions and acts of annihilation in the name of defending the nation. Such outrageous rational did not exist even before their Prophet descended to deliver their tribe.
More outrageous is the reaction of the world, as if nothing unusual is happening through acts of killing innocent civilians, children and even pregnant mothers. Israeli Prime Minister rejuvenated by spilling blood in Gaza threatened to obliterate the two million Palestinians now living in Gaza. History will say about many atrocities, invasions and occupation of other nation's lands, but never human beings were humiliated, decapitated and brutally subjugated in such harsh conditions as in Palestine.
Why are the Palestinians fighting since 1948? They want their land freed from occupation which was legitimised by the United Nations. The  United States on the other hand has always been keeping vigil on Israel's interest through many means, including free supply of arms and stopping everyone else to point finger at Israel.  Israel is a subcontract country to the USA. It sells only to US market and monopolises supply to US Army. It is draining US budget and bleeding European economy. Out of the 40 million Jews living in the world, only less than 6 million are now living in Israel.  Given a chance, Israeli Jews will prefer to immigrate to USA, to Europe and to Australia. Who are those Jews living in Israel? Are they Arabs? No, they are from Russia, Poland,  Hungary, Austria and North Africa. They claimed the land of Israel dislodging the people of Palestine. Who has the right to defend this land, Palestinians or Israel?  These are political, social and albeit emotional claims made by all sides. Since Israel's occupation of Palestine, the world has experienced rise of terrorism, hijacking, suicide bombing and religious fundamentalism.  All these made this world a difficult place for living and this is a price we all are paying for Israel's selfish and obstinate arrogance.
It was perhaps convenient for the West, in particular the US, to keep the Palestinian issue pending as it was geopolitically useful for controlling oil resources and security of Israel. It was in the interest of the West that Israel was created and it would be in the interest of the West that Israel will cease to exist. Many scholars of Jewish cause has expressed this concern when they find that about over forty million Jews are living as well-placed and respected  citizens of the world, and hence it would be difficult now to abdicate these privileges for the Zionist State of Israel.
Hate cannot become the cause of any faith nor of a religion. Neither can it be the core ambition of a nation. In human history, tribes and civilizations perished for two reasons: one was the arrogance of the rulers, the other perpetrating atrocities.
We all know about great heroes of history and their expeditions over vast expanse of this planet, but in the end they left nothing behind, only to be remembered in the folklores.
This world has many unresolved problems. There are many millions of hungry people, many diseases to be treated and many conflicts to be settled. If Israel needs to stay on this planet, it should settle the matter of co-existence without arrogance. This war that the Israelis have waged is not only against the Palestinians but also against mankind. When the time of reckoning comes, one only sincerely prays and hopes that Israeli civilians, children and women will not be victims of any such atrocities and history will not be revisited.
