IT is too apparent that the JMB has regrouped. After the Gazipur incident, no amount of clever comments from the government leaders can quite hide its presence. The resurfacing of JMB is now likely to tag Bangladesh as a terrorism-infested country.
It could have a negative effect on investment. It could also affect international business transactions as well as travel and tourism. It is not a good news for the economy.
The security forces need to go all-out to track down and destroy the terror networks at the fastest. People's cooperation will have to be sought to identify and isolate the extremists. As the people are opposed to terror, it should be possible for the government to motivate them to locate and hand them over.
Efficient intelligence and law enforcement can pull the country out of the problem to restore its image.
