More vegetables for good health

November 10, 2007 00:00:00

MORE and more westerners are taking to eastern habits of eating a plenty of fruits and vegetables for health benefits.
Research findings, published in an American Academy of Neurology (AAN) journal, show that senior persons can, by eating more vegetables, prevent their cognitive decline by 40 per cent, compared to those who take more meat and less of vegetables.
In Bangladesh, people are becoming more and more health conscious and this is evident from the greater coverage given to health issues by the media. More and more people are seen taking exercises and preferring foods with nutrient value. Probably the health conscious in the country will find more interest in good health and youthfulness with more vegetables in their diets.
