EXPENDITURE in education always helps a country develop. The allocation for education is insignificant in Bangladesh. Moreover, we misuse the allocation for the education sector.
Nationally, 7185 educational institutions await enlistment in the MPO. It has been reported about 4000 educational institutions would be enlisted in the MPO soon. It would mean an additional expenditure of Tk 6.0 billion (600 crore) to meet the expenses.
The education ministry and the authorities concerned should enlist the new schools, colleges, madrasas and vocational institutions on their merit and not on the basis of their political consideration.
