Pets anyone?

PETS are a great source of pleasure. People who live in the city may have to face problems keeping dogs or cats in their houses but the love of these animals makes them face those problems bravely.
Dogs need to be trained. Some people bring them into the house as a puppy and in time they can be trained to do their toilet activities out of the house when they are taken for a walk each day. Cats are different. They can clean and groom themselves to their hearts' content because that is the way they are.
Birds are another species of animals that people like to keep in the house. They are comparatively easier to manage because they are kept in a particular place and are inside a cage.
Some people also like to keep fish in aquariums. Like birds, fish too have to be looked after and more so because they don't exist in our medium; they live in a different one; water. The oxygen supply has to be maintained properly or the fish won't survive. But the paraphernalia is easily available in the market.
Then there are people who keep rabbits. There are less fussy animals and survive on leafy meals. They are also comparatively cleaner.
All these are of course a great source of fun and wonder for children. Children of course must be taught from the outset to care for the animals they keep. They have to be taught how to feed them and how to behave with them so as not to frighten or hurt them because just like us the pets too have emotions, even fish.
