Tatty appearance of Dhaka University

I am a proud student of the best educational institution in Bangladesh, Dhaka University. But I cannot accept the present appearance of the campus. All around the campus, thousands of drug-addicted and homeless people are seen. It seems that these homeless people find no other place than the university campus for their dwelling.
Moreover, these people are involved in various illegal activities, ranging from drug dealing, prostitution to stealing. These are causing a serious threat to the students and affecting the environment.
The students, usually from residential halls, are mostly the clients of these drug dealers and prostitutes. It is an open secret that some politically involved students are directly involved with these outsiders.
In addition to that, the illegal children of the prostitutes, along with other children, roam around the campus begging from the students. All these embarrass the students. Again, because of the unhealthy living condition of these people, the students cannot walk on the sideways. Another thing is that our campus is full of garbage and there is no one employed to clean the dirts.
In most of the cases, the students are not aware of the need for keeping their surrounding clean. The university authority should pay a serious attention to such issues of concern and take necessary remedial steps.
