Tax evasion

Many people evade tax in Bangladesh and get away by bribing tax personnel. The culture of tax evasion has to end. The government needs to tighten the tax administration by eliminating corruption and raising efficiency.
Awareness campaign did little to improve revenue collection. With efficient collection Bangladesh can do away with much of demeaning foreign assistance.
The government has the sole responsibility to make the revenue administration dynamic and efficient, but not oppressive. Otherwise, it will be difficult to run the administration. People should be encouraged to pay taxes.
