The Copenhagen climate talks

December 22, 2009 00:00:00

THE Copenhagen Summit narrowly escaped a collapse and only partially achieved its objective.
The main objective of cutting carbon emission has remained unachieved.
The deadlock could be broken before the summit ended with its low achievement.
The poor developing countries, the would-be victims of global warming, have been assured of much less assistance than they expected or deserve in compensation. It remains to be seen whether or not they get whatever little has been assured.
The world is used to broken promises.
We expect future climate talks would produce better results for all mankind.
