Vain ego is an enemy

'Amitta' (Egoism), in its extreme form, can be a heinous enemy in human life. This gradually turns a man into a beast, at times compelling him to commit crimes as well.
Actually human beings have nothing to boast about 'Amitta' (Egoism). After getting up from bed in the morning, a human being starts his/her daily life by first washing off the waste that emerges from his/her own body.
Hazrat Bayejid Bostami (R) once appealed to Allah, ''O Allah! I attained Your satisfaction by properly performing your rules, but what is the easy path to reach You?'' Allah says to him, ''If you leave 'Amitta' (Egoism) forever, you will be able to reach me.''
We all should leave our own 'Amitta' forever to gain the satisfaction of Allah and His Rasul.
