MANCHESTER, June 26 (Agencies): India will look to maintain an unbeaten streak when they take on the West Indies in their next World Cup 2019 match at Old Trafford in Manchester on Thursday.

The team has won four out of five matches, with one abandoned due to rain, and need two more wins in four matches to seal a semi-final berth.

The West Indies, on the other hand, have won just one match and lost four, besides a washed out meeting with South Africa.

West Indies come into this match after a heartbreaking five-run loss to New Zealand - a game that seemed all but over before Carlos Brathwaite almost produced an unimaginable result.

Andre Russell, who appeared to be in discomfort each time he stepped onto the field, has been ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury.

With mathematical permutations still giving them an outside chance for a semi-final berth, West Indies will aim to pull off a complete performance against an in-form Indian side.

India and West Indies have faced each other in 8 matches in ICC Cricket World Cup tournaments. Out of these 8 games, India have won 5 whereas West Indies have come out victorious on 3 occasions. It will be a dry and mostly sunny day with warmth and humidity. Teams batting first have won each of the three matches played at Old Trafford in this tournament so far.
