Bill Gates’ painful regret over Jeffrey Epstein ties

Bill Gates is speaking out about his connection to Jeffrey Epstein following the Justice Department’s release of documents that place the Microsoft founder among numerous high-profile individuals linked to the late financier and convicted sex offender. During a recent conversation with Nine News Australia, Gates described his decision to spend time with Epstein as foolish and expressed regret for every minute he shared with the disgraced businessman, reports The Guardian.

The philanthropist met Epstein in 2011, several years after Epstein had already been convicted of sex crimes. Gates acknowledged that he and Epstein had several dinners together during their acquaintance, though he firmly denied ever visiting Epstein’s notorious private island. According to Gates, the focus of their interactions centered on Epstein’s connections with wealthy individuals and his purported ability to secure funding for global health initiatives, a pursuit that Gates now characterizes as a dead end.

The newly released documents include a series of emails from 2013 in which Epstein made disturbing claims about Gates’ personal life. The messages alleged that Gates engaged in extramarital affairs and illicit drug use, accusations that Gates and his representatives have categorically rejected. Epstein’s correspondence also suggested he had resigned from a role with the Gates Foundation due to marital tensions between Gates and his former wife, Melinda French Gates.

Epstein’s writings contained troubling admissions about his involvement in what he described as morally questionable activities conducted on Gates’ behalf. A spokesperson for Gates dismissed these allegations as absolutely absurd and completely false, asserting that the documents merely demonstrate Epstein’s frustration over his inability to maintain a relationship with the billionaire philanthropist. Gates himself emphasized that the claims made in Epstein’s emails were fabricated and expressed confusion about why Epstein would write such things.
