KABUL, Apr 23 (Agencies): Grieving Afghans buried their loved ones in Kabul on Monday amid growing anger over a suicide attack on a voter registration centre in the city.
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) condemned on Monday the suicide attack against an election-related facility in Kabul.
On Sunday, a suicide bomber attacked a voter registration center set up in a school in western Kabul, killing more than 60, including 27 women and eight children, and injuring more than 120 others, according to latest figures obtained by Xinhua from Kabul police.
Several of the injured are in critical condition.
The bomber blew himself up on Sunday morning in a large crowd queueing to collect their national ID certificates so they could register to vote in long-delayed legislative elections scheduled for October.
The force of the blast, which was claimed by the Islamic State group, caused carnage in the street in the heavily Shiite-populated neighbourhood in the west of the Afghan capital.
