Diego Armando Maradona, the Argentine football legend, agreed to come to Bangladesh to become the Chairman of a franchisee-based soccer league, according to an online news agency.
The visiting three-member delegation comprising the chief executive Vashkar Goshwami of Indian event management organisation, Celebrity Management Group (CMG), confirmed his coming Friday.
After a meeting with the President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Vashkar Goshwami told this to journalists while briefing reporters Friday afternoon.
Goshwami said, "We will participate in a concluding meeting with the Argentine legend in this regard, on January 28 and 29 in Madrid."
A franchisee-based soccer league, like Indian super league, has been proposed in Bangladesh and football's living legend, Diego Maradona, might be the chairman of the league.
On December 22, 2014, the Celebrity Management Group offered Bangladesh Football Federation to organise a franchisee-based soccer league in Bangladesh.
