Metro lead by 48 runs against Dhaka North

Dhaka Metro took a 48-run lead over Dhaka Division North on the 2nd day of a three-day Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Tournament at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar Friday, reports UNB.
In the other match at Cox's Bazar-2, Dhaka Division South were trailing by 10 runs against Rajshahi Division on the 2nd day.
Dhaka Division North resumed the first innings with overnight score of 11 runs for 2 in 5 overs and lost all wickets for 204 runs in 74.1 overs.
Overnight batsman Pinak Ghosh scored team highest 60 runs while number eight Shahriar Rahman (35) and Iftekher Amin (26) were the other notable scorers for the side.
Omar Faruk grabbed four wickets for 47 runs while Sentu took three wickets for 49 runs and Kazi Anik Islam captured two wickets for 38 runs.
Dhaka Metro having 234 runs in the first innings opened the second innings and scored 18 runs for no loss in 10 overs at stumps on the second day.
Samim Iqbal and Shakib Murad were on batting scoring 10 and 5 runs respectively.
On the other hand, Rajshahi Division resumed the first innings with overnight 79 runs for 2 in 28 overs and scored 212 runs for 7 in 90 overs, riding on the opening stand of 59 runs in 13.4 overs contributed by Rahmatullah Ali and Wahiduzzaman Emon. (As per by-laws Rajshahi innings was Completed after 90 overs).
Number five Tohirul Islam scored team highest 65 runs while Rahmatullah Ali (30), Asik Mostafa (29), Istakul Islam (not out 28) and Wahiduzzaman Emon (26) were the other double digit scorers for their side.
Fahim bin Nir grabbed three wickets for 50 runs while Redwanul Islam and Rayan Rafsan took two wickets each for 39 and 53 runs respectively.
Dhaka Division South (150 runs in the first innings) opened the 2nd innings and scored 52 runs for 2 in 24 overs at stumps on the 2nd day.
Skipper Rayan Rafsan and Mehedi Hasan Milon were on batting scoring 28 and 9 runs respectively.
Musarat Safakat Alavi grabbed two wickets for 13 runs for the side.
