Jobs in Japan for Bangladeshis

August 29, 2019 00:00:00

The job market in Japan is now open for foreigners, according to media reports. Tokyo's recent moves have opened window of opportunities for Bangladeshis as well. Japan will need around 334,000 people and Asian countries such as Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Bangladesh can send their workers to the economically and echnologically advanced country.

Japan's population is aging, so the country needs working age people from abroad. Japan will hire workers in two categories: 'skilled' persons and the ones 'with technical knowledge'. The people, who would be considered skilled, such as teachers, researchers, businesspeople, will be able stay there as long as they want and they can take their families there. However, the people with technical knowledge can go there and stay for five years, but cannot take their families.

When overseas job market for Bangladeshis is shrinking, the Japanese job market would be a great opportunity. What we need to do is make a comprehensive plan to send efficient people who can meet the Japanese standards. We must ensure proper facilities for learning Japanese language so that whoever interested in any Japanese affair can learn language to make him/her competent for communicating with the Japanese people. We must continue exploring new overseas job market for ensuring employment of our people, especially the youth, and increasing remittance earning. Let's not forget to make ourselves prepared for meeting the requirements.
