Younger brother hacks elder to death at Savar

SAVAR, Nov 11 (UNB): A man was hacked to death allegedly by his younger brother in Kaichabari area of Ashulia on Saturday night over land related dispute.

The deceased was identified as Abu Taher, 40.

Taher's younger brother Jahed Ali swooped on him while he was sleeping and hacked him indiscriminately with a sharp weapon, leaving him dead on the spot, said Sheikh Rezaul Haque Dipu, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ashulia thana.

Later, Jahed surrendered to police, he added.
