UCB opens special service counter for Chinese nationals in Bangladesh

United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) inaugurated special service counter for Chinese nationals in Bangladesh at the corporate office of the bank on Monday. Li Guangjun, Economic and Commercial counsellor of Embassy of People's Republic of China in Bangladesh graced the event as Chief Guest. Zhuang Lifeng, President of Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh and Lin Weiqiang, President of Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh were present as special guests. Among others Mohammed Shawkat Jamil, Managing Director of UCB; Arif Quadri and Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, AMDs were present. — Statement

Linde BD holds AGM

The 46th Annual General Meeting of Linde Bangladesh was held recently at the Police Convention Hall, Eskaton Garden in the city. Ayub Quadri, Chairman of the Company, presided over the meeting. The performance of the company was satisfactory with 10.5 per cent revenue and 5.4 per cent profit growth.— Statement
