Dengue situation static in Sylhet, number of patients up in Bogura

SYLHET, Aug 28: The overall dengue situation remained almost static in Sylhet division over the last few days although it marked improvement in Sunamganj as there was no report of any new patient being admitted to hospital.

During the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning, nine dengue patients were admitted into the different hospitals in the region, including the divisional city, officials said.

Our Bogura Roving Correspondent writes: The authority concerned has been asked to raise awareness among people to drive dengue away from Rajshahi division.

Civil Surgeon Dr Gaosul Azom Chowdhury of Bogura district said some 16 patients have been infected with the fever in the last 24 hours.

Officials of Civil Surgeon office in Pabna, some 24 dengue patients were undergoing treatment across the district. Dengue fever has been infected 12 in the last 24 hours.

Civil Surgeon Dr Zahid Nazrul Choudhury of Chapainawabganj said four people have been infected with dengue in the last 24 hours.

Civil Surgeon Dr Md Zahidul Islam of Siraganj district said dengue fever has been infected 19 in the last 24 hours.
