Decision on rescheduling of polls today

Chief Election Commiss- ioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said on Sunday they will take the decision today (Monday) whether the schedule for the 11th parliamentary elections will be deferred or not, reports UNB.

Talking to reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban, the CEC said, "I can't say anything right now whether the election schedule will be changed or not...I'll be able to inform about it tomorrow (Monday)."

KM Nurul Huda said, "Different media reported that many parties, including BNP, submitted letters for rescheduling the election but I'm yet to receive the applications."

The EC certainly wants an inclusive election with the participation of all political parties, he said.
