Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presiding over the cabinet meeting at Bangladesh Secretariat in the city on Monday. — Focus Bangla Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Monday called upon all to work together to attain cent per cent literacy rate and turn every citizen of the country into a human resource, reports BSS.
The PM made the call in a message on the eve of International Literacy Day-2015 to be observed across the world, including Bangladesh, today (Tuesday).
"Well-educated and skilled human resources are needed for institutionalisation of democracy and overall development of the country," said the PM.
The present government is implementing various programmes to provide job-oriented education to the illiterate people for building them as human resources, she added.
