President hosts Iftar for ulema, war wounded FFs today

President Abdul Hamid will host an Iftar party today (Tuesday) for ulemas (eminent religious personalities), war-wounded freedom fighters, family members of Birsresthas, orphans and officials and employees of Bangabhaban, report agencies.

"The Iftar party will be held at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban," President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin said.

The event will be held on the first day of Ramadan as the lunar month of self-purification through fasting and abstinence begins in Bangladeshtoday (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the countrymen and all Muslims across the world on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
