Mashrafe collects AL nomination form to contest next polls

Bangladesh National Cricket Team One Day International (ODI) captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has collected the Awami League (AL) nomination form to contest the 11th national election scheduled to be held on December 23, reports UNB.

Mashrafe collected the nomination form from the Awami League president office in the capital's Dhanmondi at noon for contesting the polls from Narail-2 constituency.

Earlier, he went to Ganobhaban around 11:30 am to meet Prime Minister and AL president Sheikh Hasina.

AL joint secretaries Dipu Moni, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, organising secretary of the central committee Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, cultural affairs secretary Asim Kumar Ukil were also present there.
