Ring Shine Textile IPO lottery today
The lottery draw for the initial public offering (IPO) of Ring Shine Textiles will be held today (Tuesday) to allocate 150 million ordinary shares among successful applicants, officials said. The lottery draw will be held at 10:30am at the Auditorium of Institution of Engineers (IEB) in Dhaka. The results of the lottery draw will be available on the websites of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) and the company. The company's IPO oversubscribed by 6.74 times as the company received total Tk 10.11 billion against IPO offer of Tk 1.50 billion, according to Chittagong Stock Exchange. — FE Report

Bank Asia supports born-blind children
Two born-blind babies, Sinha and Nazmul, got their eyesight back through the support of Bank Asia. Since 2005, Bank Asia has been providing treatment support to the underprivileged born-blind children (0-8 years) as a part of CSR. Under this project, 1166 born-blind infants from all over the country acquired their eye-sight till now. After successful operation of Sinha and Nazmul under direct supervision of renowned ophthalmologist and surgeon Kazi Shabbir Anwar of Bangladesh Eye Hospital, Bank Asia President and Managing Director Mohammad Borhanuddin (Current Charge), DMD Md Sazzad Hossain visited them recently.
