The Board of Directors of Sonar Bangla Insurance Ltd. in its 127th meeting unanimously re-elected Sheikh Kabir Hossain as chairperson and Md Motaleb Hossain as vice-chairperson recently. The meeting was held virtually, said a statement.
Sheikh Kabir Hossain is also the president of Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA), and chairman of the Board of Trustees, Fareast International University, Bangladesh Private University Association, CDBL and the National Tea Company.
He is the managing director of his own business organisation M/s. Kabico Limited. He is also a member of governors of Open University Bangladesh, Vice-Chairman of Islamia Eye Hospital and a director of FBCCI.
He was the chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and International Director of Lions Clubs International.
He is the founder of many educational institutions and associated with various social activities.
Vice-chairman Md Motaleb Hossain is a renowned industrialist and managing director of MH Jute Mills Limited.
