Additional Managing Director of City Bank Mashrur Arefin and Chief Executive Officer of UnionPay International Cai Jianbo posing with UnionPay International's General Manager (Hong Kong and South Asia) and others after signing an agreement in the capital recently City Bank, a private commercial bank of the country, and UnionPay International, one of the largest card payment companies in the world, signed an agreement at a ceremony in the capital recently, says a statement.
Under the deal, City Bank, possessor of country's largest Point-of-Sales (POS) network, will be able to accept more than seven billion UnionPay cards issued globally.
Apart from that, the UnionPay cardholders can make QR code and e-commerce payments through City Bank's vast network.
