80th death anniversary of Shafiur Rahman

Today (Thursday) is the 80th death anniversary of Shafiur Rahman, a pioneer of the movement for promotion of classical music in the country, said a press release.

He was the founding general secretary of the 'Shuddha Sangeet Proshar Goshthi'. Shafiur Rahman dedicated his life to the cause of classical music.
