Hi-Tech Park inks MoU with US-based company

The Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Founders Space, a US-based company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for imparting trainings to the country's youths in the ICT sector.

Director of Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum and chairman of Founders Space Steve Hottman signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides in San Francisco, US on Thursday.

State Minister for post, telecommunication and information and communications technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present during the ceremony.

He said that the government of Bangladesh is trying to develop the country's ICT sector by providing various trainings to the youths.

He expressed interests to work jointly with the US for developing start-up businesses and accelerator for providing trainings and other cooperation to the country's youths and promising entrepreneurs. The state minister also stressed the need for using Geo- Science technology for infrastructure development.

He also met with the senior vice-president of Candence (worldwide field operation) Mr Nile and discussed the issue of development of ICT in Bangladesh, according to the ministry concerned.
