Blankets, winter clothing distributed among cold-hit families in Joypurhat

A local social organisation has distributed blankets and winter clothing among cold-affected and underprivileged families in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat district.
The programme was organised by Proyas Manobotar Seba Sangstha, a grassroots voluntary organisation, at Amirpur village under Mohammadpur union, according to a press release.
The initiative was supported by Willes Red Crescent Youth, with overall cooperation from the Red Crescent Youth, Joypurhat district unit. As part of the humanitarian effort, the organisers distributed 650 high-quality blankets and more than 800 pieces of winter clothing, benefiting over a hundred poor and vulnerable families in Mohammadpur, Kusumba and Aolai unions.
Proyas President Rezaul Islam, also a government primary school head teacher, urged affluent members of society to come forward to support the underprivileged and help strengthen the culture of humanity.
