IU student found hanging in Rajshahi house

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, Aug 01 (BSS): A student of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia was found dead in his room. Police recovered his hanging body from his residence in Rajshahi on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Ankon Kundu, a student of the Law and Land Administration Department under the 2019-20 academic session. The incident took place at around 10:30pm at his family residence in Rajshahi Sadar.

Ankon's father, Advocate Narendra Nath Kundu, said his son had returned home two days ago. On Friday afternoon, Ankon had lunch with family members and spent time with them normally. "In the evening, he was working on his computer and studying in his room. His elder brother first found him hanging and informed other family members. Later, the body was taken down and police were informed," he said.
