Road accidents kill four in two districts--

Four people were killed in separate road accidents in two districts on Monday, report agencies.
In Lakshmipur , two auto-rickshaw passengers were killed and its driver was injured when a dump truck rammed the auto-rickshaw in BU Chowdhury Fisheries area of Majuchowdhuryrhat road in Sadar upazila on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Murad, son of Mansur Ahmed from Char Ali Hasan village in Charramoni Mohan Union, and Anwar, son of Abdur Razzak from the Jagatber area of Tumchar Union.
Witnesses said that the accident occurred at around 11:30 am when the sand-laden dump truck crashed into the auto-rickshaw, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured. The injured were taken to Sadar Hospital where another passenger was declared dead.
Abdul Monnaf, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station, said police recovered the bodies and kept those in the hospital morgue.
In Narsingdi, two people, including the driver of a battery-run auto-rickshaw, were killed as a train hit the vehicle in Narsingdi's Raipura upazila last night.
The accident occurred at around 09:00 pm at Hasnabad level crossing under Amirganj union of the upazila when a Dhaka-bound train hit an auto rickshaw while it was crossing the rail line, said Md Jahirul Islam, sub-inspector of Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost.
