Two cousins drown in Kushtia pond

KUSHTIA, Apr 17 (UNB): Two cousins drowned in the Gorai river in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia on Wednesday noon.

The deceased were identified Most. Shefa, 13, daughter of Shamim Islam of Sherkandi area, and Shahzada, 7, son of Alamgir Hossain of Zainabad area of the upazila.

According to locals, Shefa came to visit her grandfather's house in Zainabad area on Friday.

Around 12 pm on Wednesday, five children including Shefa and her cousin Shazada went to take a bath in the Gorai River.
