JCI Dhaka Astral's Capitalizer 2026 concludes

The Grand Finale of JCI Dhaka Astral Presents Capitalizer 2026, powered by Eastern Bank PLC and ACI Limited, and co-powered by Gold Kinen, concluded successfully at Radisson Blu Dhaka recently. The flagship competition, organised by BUP Finance Society under the Department of Business Administration in Finance and Banking at Bangladesh University of Professionals, brought together some of the country's most promising talents in financial strategy and investment thinking from universities across the country.
More than 300 teams from over 30 universities participated in the competition. Following two intense preliminary rounds, six finalist teams advanced to the Grand Finale. At every stage, teams were evaluated on the depth of their financial ideas and how thoughtfully they demonstrated the ability to navigate uncertainty and complex business situations.
The event witnessed a fiercely contested final showdown in which Assets = Capital + Liabilities from BUP emerged as Champion of Capitalizer 2026, distinguishing themselves through confidence and exceptional command of ideas on a highly demanding stage. Team 505 from the University of Dhaka and Team The Godfathers, also from BUP, were named first and second runners-up respectively, each bringing analytical depth and composure that made the finale as competitive as it was compelling.
Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman, director general of the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS), attended the event as the chief guest.
Brigadier General Md Aminul Akbar Khan, dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at Bangladesh University of Professionals, and Lieutenant Colonel Md Atique Chowdhury, chairman of the Department of Business Administration in Finance and Banking of BUP were also present. Their presence underscored the university's continued support for student-led initiatives and its commitment to academic development. The event also welcomed representatives from partner organisations and leading corporate institutions, reflecting the growing collaboration between academia and the corporate sector.
The judging panel comprised respected academics, finance professionals, and corporate leaders who evaluated the finalist teams on strategic clarity, financial insight, and presentation quality.
As Capitalizer 2026 drew to a close, the competition reaffirmed its standing as the platform against which serious financial minds in this country measure themselves. For every team that took the stage and was tested at that level, the experience is one they will carry forward long after the night has passed.
