Hadi flown to Singapore by air ambulance

Critically injured Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson for Inquilab Moncho, was brought to an air ambulance at Dhaka airport on Monday for a flight to Singapore for advanced medical treatment. — PID

An air ambulance carrying fatally-wounded Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi left for Singapore on Monday.

At 1:40pm, he was transferred to the air ambulance, which departed 10 minutes later.

Hadi will receive advanced treatment in Singapore.

Earlier, at 1:10pm, an ambulance carrying him left Evercare Hospital Dhaka for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The air ambulance had arrived at the airport at 11:22am.

The decision to send Hadi to Singapore for better treatment was made on Sunday during an emergency conference call, following instructions from Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus.

The meeting was attended by Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Health Affairs Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, Evercare Hospital specialist Dr Zafar, and Hadi's brother Omar bin Hadi.

Hadi was critically injured when miscreants shot him at the Bijoynagar Box Culvert Road area in the capital on Friday.

He first received treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and was later taken to Evercare Hospital.
